Queer and BIPOC-Centered
I create a space that celebrates and affirms the identities of doulas and birthworkers, who are LGBTQIA+. Being Queer and occupying the often heteronormative space of birth comes with its own challenges and we need extra love and support. Also, as a Dominican, supporting my people is very important to me. This work is ancestral and I’ve been with herbalism since birth!
Holistic Support
As a spiritual herbalist, my work is rooted in the belief that healing should address the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. The protocol we create together will not only have plants and remedies to support you but look at overall lifestyle practices that can provide additional support such as affirmations, meditations, foods, spiritual practices, etc.
Tailored to Doulas and Birthworkers
I specialize in helping doulas integrate herbalism into their own self care. As a doula myself I know our frequent struggles (i.e. the on call life isn’t for the faint of heart). My services are designed to support you through the unique challenges of our profession, with a high burnout rate I want to help you take care of yourself so you can offer the best possible care to your clients. The work we do is so important and I want to help birthworkers keep doing it.
Services and Fees
Chamomile Package ($75)
This package is for new clients and includes the following.
Initial Consultation (60mins):
This is where I learn more about your goals and what issue you would like support around. We also discuss the different aspects of your life, including the physical, emotional, and spiritual parts. Transparency is key to a good herbal protocol!
Personalized Herbal Protocol:
Based on the consultation, I play matchmaker between you and the plants and tailor a herbal plan to address your specific needs. The plants/formulas you will be working with are ones that I believe would best support you and your lifestyle.
Check ins:
In the beginning I will check in via text or email at the two week mark and see how things are going. If necessary, we adjust the protocol. Then we follow-up again after 30 days and discuss progress, reup on any herbs or answer any questions. Most folks see some results after 2 weeks of consistently following the herbal protocol and even more after a month. Remember that herbs work more slowly than western medicine and requires patience, this is an ongoing relationship.
Additional Consults ($35)
After the initial consult and 30 day consult, all subsequent consults are an additional fee. These 30min consults can be used to adjust formulas, check in on current protocols or address a new issue that you may want support around.
* these services do not include the cost of herbs. The average price of herbs is $25-50, depending on the formula. A cost estimate is provided along with the protocol for your approval before any formulation begins.
